Basketball Game Preview: St. Paul's Wolves vs. Fairhope Pirates

The St. Paul's Wolves will head out to challenge the Fairhope Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Paul's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

St. Paul's took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Benjamin Franklin 73-38. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fairhope entered their game against Baker on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Fairhope came up short against Baker, falling 76-50. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The victory got St. Paul's back to even at 5-5. As for Fairhope, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.

Things could have been worse for St. Paul's, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-42 loss to Fairhope when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can St. Paul's avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
