Football Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 28-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eldorado Firehawks. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Firehawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Hayden Rogers threw for 65 yards and one TD.

Anthony Haro went supernova For Eldorado., rushing for 118 yards and a pair of scores. Those 118 rushing yards gave Haro a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Damir Owens, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Eldorado, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Chaparral will venture away from home to challenge Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cowboys' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Eldorado, they will host Mojave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
