Softball Game Preview: Faribault Falcons vs. Winona Winhawks

The Faribault Falcons will challenge the Winona Winhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faribault's hitters haven't had much luck over their past seven matchups, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Faribault and Red Wing had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Falcons came up short against the Wingers on Tuesday, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Winona got themselves on the board against Austin on Tuesday, but Austin never followed suit. They blew past the Packers 9-0. The win continues a trend for the Winhawks in their matchups with the Packers: they've now won eight in a row.

Winona's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Faribault, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
