Soccer Game Preview: Cathedral Catholic vs. Scripps Ranch

Cathedral Catholic and Scripps Ranch are an even 2-2-6 against one another since January of 2017, but likely not for long. The Cathedral Catholic Dons will welcome the Scripps Ranch Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cathedral Catholic's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Thursday, Cathedral Catholic and Point Loma finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch hasn't lost a match since December 21, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against San Diego.

Scripps Ranch's draw gives them a new season record of 7-4-3. As for Cathedral Catholic, they moved theirs to 3-6-2.

Cathedral Catholic skirted past Scripps Ranch 2-1 in their previous meeting back in December of 2021. Will Cathedral Catholic repeat their success, or does Scripps Ranch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
