Knob Noster had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 14-14 to make it four. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrisonville Wildcats. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Knob Noster saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Defenbaugh, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for Harrisonville, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 17-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

On Harrisonville's side, Ben Mahurin made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and not a single walk). Mahurin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brodie McNeal was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.
