Volleyball Recap: Shelby County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shelby County lost against Jemison back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-6, 25-11.

Kaydence Connell paced Shelby County's offense, picking up five kills. Connell got some help from Wendy McGehee and her 11 assists.

Shelby County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Jemison, they pushed their record up to 26-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Shelby County and Jemison should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Wildcats will take on Jackson-Olin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (201 vs. 428). Meanwhile, Jemison (ranked 54th) will meet Booker T. Washington Magnet (ranked 336th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
