Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Crusaders vs. Lincolnwood Lancers
Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell just short of the Lincolnwood Lancers by a score of 2-1. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lutheran sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 18-25, 25-21.
Lutheran now has a losing record at 15-16. As for Lincolnwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.
Lutheran will look to defend their home court on Monday against Beardstown at 7:00 p.m. As for Lincolnwood, they are taking a road trip to challenge West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
