It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Beyer ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Pacheco Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Panthers on Tuesday, they had to take a 8-3 loss.

Beyer's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Gil, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Beyer has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Pacheco, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Beyer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 victory against Modesto on the 6th. As for Pacheco, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-4 win against Hilmar on the 6th.
