After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marblehead, Reading Memorial was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Belmont Marauders by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Rockets: when they faced off against the Marauders back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Reading Memorial had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-18.

Victoria Reposa paced Reading Memorial's offense, picking up 17 kills. Reposa got some help from Gianna Miceli and her 20 assists. Cara Vitarisi and Mary Furey kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Despite the defeat, Belmont had strong showings from June Perez, who had five digs and three aces, and Emma Miao, who had eight kills, six aces, and three digs. Miao is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Angela Dai also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Reading Memorial's record is now 11-5. As for Belmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Reading Memorial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Wilmington on the 16th. As for Belmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Stoneham on the 16th.
