Baseball Recap: Snowflake Has No Trouble Against Page

Snowflake never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Page Sand Devils as Snowflake made off with a 10-0 win. The Lobos haven't had any issues with the Sand Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Kyler Matthews made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Matthews is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Skip Bawden was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Tate Matthews was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Snowflake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in three consecutive games.

Snowflake's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Page, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Snowflake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-8 victory against St. Johns on the 20th. As for Page, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Tuba City on the 21st.
