Medina has gone a perfect 3-0 against Shaker Heights recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Battling Bees will take on the Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Medina is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Ignatius just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Battling Bees have suffered since April 2nd.

Medina took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-12, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Shaker Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Mentor.

Shaker Heights was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23, 25-9.

Medina's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Shaker Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Medina's way against Shaker Heights when the teams last played on April 1st, as Medina made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Battling Bees since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
