Volleyball Recap: Ola Triumphs

Ola won the last time they faced West Laurens and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Raiders.

Ola easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14.

Ola found their leader in sophomore Lily Powell, who had five digs and three aces. Kyndall Jackson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Ola was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 16-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Ola's win bumped their record up to 22-11. As for West Laurens, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-22.

Coincidentally, Ola and West Laurens will both be playing Eagle's Landing Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Raiders will host the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
