Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Heritage Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They snuck past the Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Eagles with a 52-47 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Parker Buetow was his usual excellent self, putting up 24 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Nimi Metiko was another key player, earning ten points.

Despite the loss, Bethel Assembly Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from McKinley Conner, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 24 rebounds. Conner has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 18 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bradley Taylor, who posted nine points.

Heritage Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with the defeat, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season.
