Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Boone). They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Oregon Hawks on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 16 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

North Boone is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Oregon, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coming up, North Boone's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Harvard at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Oregon, they are taking a road trip to take on Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
