Soccer Game Preview: Holston vs. Tazewell

The Holston Cavaliers will head out on the road to take on the Tazewell Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Holston fell victim to Honaker and their airtight defense last Tuesday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. Holston have struggled against Honaker recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Tazewell hadn't done well against Patrick Henry recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Rebels 8-3. The result was nothing new for Tazewell, who have now won four matches by five goals or more so far this season.

They hit Patrick Henry with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cole Price (3), Justin Thomas (3), Trenton Roark, and Zephyr Dagout.

Tazewell's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Holston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Holston suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Tazewell when the teams last played back in March. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
