Basketball Recap: Nicole Amend's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wakefield over Southeast Raleigh + How To Watch

Wakefield managed to slip by Southeast Raleigh the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolverines came up short against the Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 58-34.

Wakefield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Nicole Amend, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Maddelyn Kusy, who put up four points and five rebounds.

Among those leading the charge was A'Ziyah Trent, who had 14 points along with eight boards and three steals. Those eight rebounds gave her a new career-high. Dariyah Harris was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Wakefield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Wakefield will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Garner at 6:30 p.m. As for Southeast Raleigh, they will challenge Enloe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
