Basketball Recap: Putnam Takes a Loss

Putnam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs 67-26. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-36 back in January.

Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lyman Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam will face off against Griswold at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Putnam is facing Griswold at the right time seeing as Griswold is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lyman Memorial, they will square off against Suffield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
