Rock Springs Christian Academy entered their tilt with Atlanta Jewish Academy on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 65-54 victory over the Atlanta Jewish Academy Jaguar. Given Rock Springs Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Atlanta Jewish Academy is ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aryeh Cohen and Yaakov Spanner certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Cohen posted 15 points, while Spanner scored 18 points. Those 15 points gave Cohen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ari Shapiro, who had eight points.

Rock Springs Christian Academy's record is now 9-1. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Heritage the next time they take the court. Atlanta Jewish Academy will host Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Rock Springs Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
