Softball Game Preview: Jellico Blue Devils vs. Oneida Indians

Jellico is 1-9 against Oneida since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Indians at 7:05 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Jellico is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They fell 4-0 to McCreary Central.

Meanwhile, Oneida came up short against Eagleton College & Career Academy on Tuesday, falling 22-9. The Indians have struggled against the Royals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Oneida saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Hailey, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI. Shiloh Shoemaker also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Jellico's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Oneida, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
