Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Zander Ford and Myer Mcnaul Lead Rose Hill to Victory

On Friday, it was close, but the Rose Hill Rockets sidestepped the West Elk Patriots for a 48-45 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

Leading Rose Hill to victory were Myer Mcnaul and Zander Ford. Mcnaul posted eight points and three steals, while Ford went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. Ford has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Trayton Allison-Hill was another key player, putting up four points.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddex Moreno, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Kase Kill, who put up eight points in addition to 11 rebounds and three steals.

Rose Hill's record is now 2-4. As for West Elk, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Rose Hill will venture away from home to face off against Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Elk, they will host Bluestem at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
