Softball Recap: Tates Creek Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Tates Creek kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Boyle County Rebels by a score of 12-10. The Commodores haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Madison Bowman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Kacey Cline, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Looking ahead, Tates Creek will head out to take on Anderson County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Boyle County, they will face off against Bethlehem at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
