Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley View). They claimed a resounding 52-21 win over the Wyoming Valley West Spartans. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cougars needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Valley View, racking up 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Gabe Davis, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

One reason for the win was Valley View's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Brady Cunningham and Brody Call, who racked up all four sacks between them.
