Basketball Recap: Harlingen Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Harlingen won the last time they faced Hanna and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Harlingen Cardinals' way against the Hanna Golden Eagles as the Harlingen Cardinals made off with a 68-48 victory. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Harlingen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luis Rodriguez, who posted 17 points. The match was Rodriguez's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Ashton Barajas was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Hanna's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beto Galarza, who earned 22 points. Another player making a difference was Rolando Roman, who put up 13 points.

Harlingen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for Hanna, their loss dropped their record down to 20-9.

Coincidentally, Harlingen and Hanna will both be playing Los Fresnos the next time they take the court. Harlingen will head out to face Los Fresnos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hanna will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
