There's no place like home for Valley View, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the Arlington Lions 3-0 on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Lions two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

While Valley View won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-20.

The victory got Valley View back to even at 7-7. As for Arlington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Valley View will venture away from home to challenge Indio at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arlington, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ramona at 5:00 p.m. on September 8.
