Basketball Recap: Sunday's Defeat Ends Dover's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dover can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sanford Warriors by a score of 37-34 on Sunday. The game marked the Senators' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Sanford had a senior duo take command as Jayden Taylor posted eight points in addition to ten boards and eight blocks and Khareem Hart went 6-for-13 on his way to 15 points. Those eight blocks gave Taylor a new career-high.

Dover moved to 24-3 with that loss, which also ended their 16-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points over those games. As for Sanford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Dover nor Sanford have any future games scheduled.
