Baseball Recap: Carson Victorious

Carson was handed a six-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Corvian Community Cardinals.

Jacob Prevette tossed a big game, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maverick Walters, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Carson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Corvian Community, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Carson wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 defeat against East Rowan on the 10th. As for Corvian Community, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-4 win against Pine Lake Prep on the 14th.
