Basketball Recap: Byron Sets Scoring Season-High Against Oregon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Byron). They took down the Oregon Hawks 79-62 on Monday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 46-44 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

The victory (which was Byron's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points over those games. As for Oregon, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Coming up, Byron will be taking part in a tournament against Dakota at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Oregon, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bureau Valley at 10:30 a.m. on January 3, 2026.
