Softball Recap: Maricopa Institute of Technology Takes a Loss

Maricopa Institute of Technology was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 21-10 to the Mission Heights Prep Phantoms. Even if the Iron Eagles couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Maricopa Institute of Technology's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mission Heights Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Mission Heights Prep will square off against Imagine Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Maricopa Institute of Technology will be paying especially close attention to the Phantoms' game: after the Phantoms faces off against the Storm, they'll take on Maricopa Institute of Technology again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
