Basketball Game Preview: Wilton/Wing Miners vs. Medina/Pingree-Buchanan

The Wilton/Wing Miners and Medina/Pingree-Buchanan will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wilton/Wing has three straight wins, Medina/Pingree-Buchanan has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Wilton/Wing strolled past Flasher with points to spare, taking the game 81-67.

Medina/Pingree-Buchanan might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 59-49 to Midkota/Kensal, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Wilton/Wing will have to contain Chase Ova as he made an impact in Medina/Pingree-Buchanan's last game. He posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Hofmann, who put up nine points.

Wilton/Wing's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Medina/Pingree-Buchanan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Wilton/Wing took their win against Medina/Pingree-Buchanan in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 80-55. Will Wilton/Wing repeat their success, or does Medina/Pingree-Buchanan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
