Basketball Recap: BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs vs. AZ Compass Prep Dragons
The BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of AZ Compass Prep. BASIS - Scottsdale was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, BASIS - Scottsdale still got an impressive performance from Blake Tropper, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Tropper is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rishi Dubba, who scored four points along with six rebounds and four steals.
BASIS - Scottsdale dropped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for AZ Compass Prep, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12.
BASIS - Scottsdale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Sun Devils at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (ASU Prep is ranked 148th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 170th). AZ Compass Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
