Softball Recap: Kennedy Find Success

The third road match was the charm for Kennedy, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against the River City Raiders by a score of 9-4 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

Kaylena Ogle spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Kira Griffin was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Alyssa Vallery was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Kennedy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for River City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
