After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Central Valley Christian, Immanuel was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kingsburg Vikings, sneaking past  3-2. The  victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.
 The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Immanuel who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 20-25, 25-19, 17-25,  15-12.
 Spencer Horn paced Immanuel's offense, picking up 20 kills. Horn got some help from  Tori Visser and her 41 assists.  Cami Chernekoff controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
 Despite the loss, Kingsburg still got an impressive performance from   Parker Woods, who  had 15  digs and one  assist. With that strong performance,  Woods is now averaging an impressive 10  digs per game.  Makaylah Villanueva also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
The  win  got Immanuel back to even at 16-16. As for Kingsburg,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three matches  and leaves them with a 12-20 record.
 Immanuel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  victory against Washington Union on the 21st. As for Kingsburg, they have also already played their next match,  a  3-0  defeat against Central Valley Christian on the 21st.
