Volleyball Recap: Castle Extends Winning Streak to Three

Castle had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Evansville Central Bears. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Castle was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-8, 25-13.

Castle found their leader in sophomore Hera Sun, who had six digs and two aces. Sun also set a new season-high mark in assists with 23. Molly Herrmann also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Castle's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Evansville Central, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12.

Looking ahead, Castle will square off against Brownstown Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Evansville Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Evansville North at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
