May falls short of Jonesboro in the playoffs

Recap: May Tigers vs. Jonesboro Eagles

The May Tigers and the Jonesboro Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the May Tigers had to settle for second. They were dealt a 86-39 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. May has not had much luck with Jonesboro recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

DeMarcus Acoff was his usual excellent self, rushing for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also picking up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns for Jonesboro. Acoff's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. Jacob Cisneros also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.

May's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Jonesboro, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

May does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jonesboro will head out on the road to face off against Gordon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gordon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 769 points over their last 13 matchups.
