Softball Game Preview: Whitmer Panthers vs. Jackson Polar Bears

The Whitmer Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Jackson Polar Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Monday just wasn't the day for Whitmer's offense. They lost 8-0 to Anthony Wayne on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Generals: they've now lost seven in a row.

Whitmer saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Hannibal, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Jackson didn't have quite enough to beat Canfield on Saturday and fell 8-6. The Polar Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caidy Norris made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Whitmer's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7-1.
