South Gwinnett waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Morrow Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Comets have posted since August 15, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (61-57) South Gwinnett actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 15-25, 15-11.

South Gwinnett's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Morrow, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

South Gwinnett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Cherokee Bluff on the 9th. As for Morrow, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Stockbridge on the 11th.
