Volleyball Recap: West Field's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

West Field waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Northridge Knights. This was a revenge game for the Longhorns: when they faced off against the Knights back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

West Field had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-20, 25-20, 25-21.

Ainsley Schiffman paced West Field's offense, picking up 18 kills. Schiffman got some help from Halia Fonotisatele and her 20 assists. Paige Butler controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

West Field's victory bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Northridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. West Field is set to challenge their familiar foe Roy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northridge will face off against rival Clearfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
