Basketball Recap: Ridgemont Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Ridgemont won the last time they faced Riverdale and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ridgemont Golden Gophers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Riverdale Falcons 43-40. The win almost wasn't to be: the Golden Gophers were down 27-10 in the second quarter.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Ridgemont, bringing their record for this year to 9-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Riverdale, they moved to 6-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Ridgemont will venture away from home to square off against Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgemont is facing Elgin at the right time seeing as Elgin is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Riverdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Arlington will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Riverdale surely won't give up without a fight.
