Baseball Recap: Grimsley Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Victory

While Grimsley put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Ragsdale. The Whirlies put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Whirlies have posted against the Tigers since March 29, 2022.

Clay Rosser made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other pitching news, Noah Christensen looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 12 consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Gabe Doolen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Max Snyder was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

The win was the tenth in a row for Grimsley, bringing their record up to 22-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Ragsdale, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.

As of now, neither Grimsley nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
