Basketball Recap: Northside Takes a Loss

Northside lost to Veterans back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhawks. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaivyon Dawson produced another solid effort shooting 70% from the field on his way to 23 points and five rebounds for Veterans. Dawson's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Lott, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Veterans, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northside is set to square off against their familiar foe Houston County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Veterans will take on rival Thomas County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
