Pittston came into Monday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Mid Valley Spartans 3-0 on Monday. The Patriots not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 3rd (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-16.

Mid Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alecia Hatch, who had 15 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Coviello, who had ten digs.

Pittston's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Mid Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Pittston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mid Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Mountain View on the 21st.
