Football Recap: St. Joseph Academy Takes Down Francis Parker in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Joseph Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Francis Parker Lancers, posting a 64-16 win. Considering the Crusaders have won seven matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Blaise McMahon had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 208 yards and four scores on only eight carries. Those 208 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Josh Clow was another key player, rushing for 99 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Joseph Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 376 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Francis Parker only rushed for 133.

Although Francis Parker took the loss, they still got scores from Jaylen Murray and Spencer Perry.

The victory (which was St. Joseph Academy's seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.7 points over those games. As for Francis Parker, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

St. Joseph Academy has already played their next game, a 68-13 victory against Borrego Springs on the 22nd. Francis Parker does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
