Citrus Valley dropped their record down to 16-11 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 6-2 to the Redlands East Valley Wildcats. Blackhawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Tuesday.

Cole West was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

As for Redlands East Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

On Redlands East Valley's side, Caleb Jamroz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits.

At the plate, Alan Gibbons was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Ty Whittle was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Redlands East Valley beat Citrus Valley by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday.
