Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, West Valley couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Puyallup Vikings on Friday. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their 16-game winning streak.

West Valley's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Puyallup, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. West Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Glacier Peak at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Puyallup, they and Gonzaga Prep will face off at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Gonzaga Prep will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Puyallup surely won't give up without a fight.
