By Staff Report Nov 22, 2011, 7:02pm

Shaq Thompson makes the jump to No. 5 overall.

Tom Lemming has a new Top 100 out, and a second California recruit has entered the Top 10.

Grant (Sacramento, Calif.) athlete Shaq Thompson soared 34 spots and now checks in as the No. 5 overall recruit in the country.

The multi-talented Thompson has rushed for 1,068 yards and 15 scores this season while throwing for another 725 and eight touchdowns.

From the safety spot, a position many believe Thompson will play in college, he’s been responsible for 52 tackles and two interceptions.

Andrus Peat, an offensive lineman from Corona del Sol (Tempe, Ariz.), also cracked the Top 10, landing at No. 7.
