Basketball Game Preview: Navarro Panthers vs. Southwest Legacy Titans

The Navarro Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Southwest Legacy Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Navarro has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight defeats, while Southwest Legacy will come in with four straight victories.

Navarro's last matchup with New Braunfels could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Panthers were beaten by the Unicorns 55-25. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 973rd, while the Unicorns are ranked 472nd).

Meanwhile, Southwest Legacy hadn't done well against Southside recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Titans snuck past the Cardinals with a 37-31 win. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly six points.

Navarro's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Southwest Legacy, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Navarro came up short against Southwest Legacy in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 48-43. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
