The Poultney Blue Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Arlington Memorial Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poultney is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Poultney gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 49-19 win over Sharon Academy.
Meanwhile, Arlington Memorial had to suffer through a rough 65-34 loss at the hands of Twin Valley.
Poultney's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Arlington Memorial, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Poultney against Arlington Memorial in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 59-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Poultney since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
