Volleyball Recap: Manitowoc Lincoln Takes a Loss

Manitowoc Lincoln was the 2-0 winner over Kimberly when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ships fell 2-0 to the Papermakers on Saturday. The Ships have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Abby Weidmayer paced Manitowoc Lincoln's offense, picking up four kills. Weidmayer got some help from Cora Foster and her eight assists. Weidmayer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Manitowoc Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Kimberly, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-12.

Looking ahead, Manitowoc Lincoln will square off against Bay Port at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kimberly, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Oconomowoc on the 4th.
