Soccer Recap: Currituck County's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After flying high against Northeastern on Monday, Currituck County came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the First Flight Nighthawks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Currituck County were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior), but First Flight's defense proved too tough.

Currituck County's goal came courtesy of Kaylee Campbell-Sinchongco, who's now up to 22 this season.

Currituck County moved to 11-8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for First Flight, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.
