Baseball Recap: Monsignor Pace's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Monsignor Pace entered their tilt with Palmetto on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Palmetto Panthers by a score of 6-1. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 8-6 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Daniel Fumero looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rudy Marichal, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he's brought in this season. Yuniel Paredes was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Monsignor Pace pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs over those games. As for Palmetto, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monsignor Pace will square off against Brito at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Brito is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Palmetto, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Florida Christian at 3:30 p.m. Florida Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Palmetto surely won't give up without a fight.
